SPREADSHEET FILE "ELEMENTS"
This file has 54 sheets showing the buildings and equipment at railway stations of national railways. The data are nearly complete for 1924 and 1934 and, for State Railways, are extended to 1940 and 1945. The total length of track and numbers of buildings, sheds, water tanks, etc. in the Ways and Works table are here detailed station by station.
These data serve to study the facilities afforded to shippers of goods and livestock and the buildings and equipment employed by the railway to provide its service.
The sources of data are the working timetables of the various companies.
